When Kayla joined Launch Pad she was unsure of what she wanted to do and how to move forward. With experience of working within mental health, she knew she wanted to ‘help’ but was unsure what career path would allow her this opportunity.
When Kayla signed up to Launch Pad she was assigned a Prince’s Trust mentor who quickly introduced her to Claire Marshall, our ESN Medway Lead. Together they looked into different opportunities that Kayla could go into using the National Careers Opportunities website.
Claire supported Kayla with her CV through ESN CV Workshops and made her aware of all of the opportunities on ESNOnline. This enabled Kayla to find a Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship with IPS International at the Snodland Medical Centre.
Kayla used ESNOnline to apply for the apprenticeship and with her new CV she was invited for interview. Claire continued to support Kayla with interview techniques and spoke with IPS to ensure Kayla was best prepared for the interview ahead. After a successful interview, Kayla attended a trial and soon found that she had been successful and was offered the position.
Kayla is currently working within her apprenticeship and is taking overtime opportunities where she can.
ESN would like to say a huge congratulations to Kayla and thank you to IPS for their support working with our current Launchpad caseload.
“I was extremely happy to hear Kayla had been appointed onto the Business Administration Apprenticeship position with our client, Snodland Medical Practice. Kayla initially approached me through ESN when she found the apprenticeship vacancy online and after I had a quick discussion with her on the phone, she put together a fantastic application, which saw her gain an interview. With some information, advice and guidance from myself and ESN, Kayla shone brightly at interview and was chosen as the successful candidate. Congratulations Kayla and I wish you all the best in your career!”
